honeybirds & the birdies - east village (2013)

gli honeybird & the birdies sono federico "walkietalkiebird" camici da torino, paola "p-birdie" mirabella da catania e monique "honeybird" mizrahi da los angeles. partendo da una matrice di world music miscelano sonorità brasiliane, indie-rock, psichedelia tropicale e punk, suonando principalmente charango, batteria e basso.
in questi giorni gli honeybird spiccano il volo oltre i confini italici raggiungendo groningen, per l'eurosonic 2013, suggestivo festival olandese che ogni anno riunisce attorno al proprio palco le migliori proposte europee in circolazione.
ma, prima della partenza, gli eccentrici uccellini hanno lasciato un bel regalo: la pubblicazione del loro secondo clip tratto dall’album “you should reproduce”, uscito a ottobre 2012: “east village”.
il video, per la regia di francesco lettieri, vede la partecipazione speciale del loro produttore, enrico "oclarinobird" gabrielli (calibro 35, afterhours, mariposa, etc.) e, percorrendo la strada della favola, racconta la nascita della band, l’incontro con il loro mentore e l’arrivo del disco in un negozio di dell’east village (nyc), a coronamento di un sogno.
